Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources completes the National Programme for the Rehabilitation of New Employees for 2019, implemented throughout the Emirate of Sharjah, by training the first batch of new employees in Kalba.
The programme was launched in order to complete the implementation of the directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, by approving the appointment of 724 job seekers according to the categories specified by His Highness, on the basis of their eligibility for urgent appointment.
The programme started on October 20 and will continue until November 20, targeting the first batch of the newly appointed employees at the entities, departments and bodies of Sharjah Government, amounting to 147 male and female employees. It consists of the implementation of an integrated plan according to stages and groups through a series of training sessions and support programmes, to prepare the new employees to enter the work environment.
The programme’s integrated plan aims to implement its courses and curricula at the Emirate of Sharjah, the Central Region and Eastern Region, to ensure that all new recruits in all the organisations and entities of the Emirates are included, while achieving the goal of reaching all new employees in their locations across the various cities of the Emirate.
The programme aims at introducing the new employee to his functional rights and obligations, and providing him with the individual skills in order to acquire the most important standards that the organisations seek in their new employees, through a package of enrichment programmes. They will also gain knowledge in legal affairs related to the Human Resources Law in Sharjah Government as well as its decisions and circulars. This will help define a right start of the employees’ career path, and create a productive and satisfactory work environment.
Concerning the preparations of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources to receive new employees in Sharjah Government, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Director of Branches Affairs Department at the Directorate, said:  Upon receiving the wise directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, may God preserve him, to appoint 724 job seekers, the Directorate was keen to get ready to receive new recruits by implementing an organised plan that includes intensive and integrated training sessions covering all recruits from all cities of the Emirate in Sharjah, the Central Region and the Eastern Region.
The new employees were admitted to the programme in coordination with the Departments, Institutions and government entities that they have recently joined. The intensive training programme offers courses covering the skills of dealing with employees and workers, administrative skills such as time management, office management, preparing and writing job reports, creativity and innovation skills, management education of employees as per the Implementing Regulation, performance evaluation and career discipline.
He added: As the Directorate believes that the workforce equipped with knowledge and skills is inevitable for the increase of efficiency and productivity, the National Programme for Rehabilitation of New Employees was set according to the highest quality standards that guarantee the efficiency of training and job readiness. The Directorate was also keen to study and keep up with the needs of the government sector and its institutions when preparing the establishment of an integrated programme that is designed effectively to serve the human resource development in the Emirate and improve government work.

He also confirmed the importance of this training in clarifying the roles assigned to the new employee and informing him of the size and value of the works to be provided by him, stimulating his productivity as he is considered the first investment to which the government offers its attention, efforts and material resources.
